USIM Dewan Tuanku Canselor Upgrade Stage Lighting and Dimmer System

Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) located in Bandar Baru Nilai had their auditorium also known as Dewan Tuanku Canselor to upgrade the dimmer system and stage lighting.

The hall was completed in 2014 and had the state of art sound and light installed for the stage performance and students convocation. After nearly 5 years of use the university decided to call for specialist contractor to carry out service and upgrading the stage lighting system, dimmer and lighting control desk.

The Dimmer System and Lighting Control was from ADB Stagelight Belgium and since Artistic Controls is the authorized ADB distributor in Malaysia we won the project to upgrade and service the current stage lighting system.

For this upgrading Artistic Controls proposed to repair and upgrade the ADB Liberty Control desk software to the latest version which has never been done for the past 5 years. The desk is also not working to the fullest according to the USIM Event team. To ensure that the desk is working well we changed the hard disk and the internal SATA Dom drive as well.

Also we carry our full service and maintenance to the ADB Eurodim Dimmer Rack plus carry out new cabling to the spotlights where possible to ensure that the current stage lighting is performing at the tip top condition ready for the next convocation.

Overall the Events Team was satisfy with the upgrading work and they can finally use back the ADB Liberty Desk to the fullest without worrying that it will fail during the show.
