UMT Terengganu E-Learning Studio
The Universiti Malaysia Terengganu or UMT, formerly known as Kolej Universiti Sains dan Teknologi Malaysia or KUSTEM, is a Malaysia university located in Kuala Nerus District, Terengganu. One of their studio The E-Learning Studio in the Perpustakaan Sultanah Nur Zahirah building recently upgraded their studio with Green Wall, Cyclorama curtain and Studio Lighting.

The project was undertaken by Medialab Alliance a solution provided for radio, television and multimedia based in Subang Jaya. The E-Learning Studio consist of Main Recording Studio and Control Room and Audio Recording studio.
Artistic Controls has the opportunity to work with Medialab to supply and install cyclorama curtain with aluminium curtain track at the site.
Triple E Curtain Track
For the curtain track we supply double track with Triple E 2Way Medium Duty Walkalong Curtain Track. The track was installed around the back and side of the studio to allow easy movement of all drapery within the space. Triple E Erail track was used for the main curtain track as it has the ability to be corded allowing the curtain to be operated as required.
The 2Way was preferred choice as it is an aluminium extruded black anodized track – a robust, maintenance-free track with a variety of easy-to-install mounting options for walkalong operation. Ideal for masking, perimeter tracks, cycloramas and more for stage, studio, retail, sports, and office environments.
For the cyclorama curtain we supply JC Joel Cotton Canvas White and JC Joel black Wool Serge 565 gm2 drape.
Wool Serge 565 (WS090) was chosen for its acoustic and blackout properties. The canvas white will be used mainly for background video production since it has a total width of 13m and a drop of 2.9m for the space.
These were finished with small tab hooks and a jack chain weighted base.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the e-Learning Studio is the most used studio for producing content for remote and distance learning courses for students. The new refurbish UTM studio was completed on time and ready for the next production.
