Eko Cheras Public Address System

Eko Cheras is a mixed commercial project development built by Ekovest that consist of EkoCheras Mall, Hotel Suite and three service apartment and an office tower. It is located along Jalan Cheras and easily accessible via the MRT Link Bridge a 180 m long elevated Link Bridge connected between the Mall and Taman Mutiara MRT Station.

One of the main attraction is the EkoCheras Mall a four storey of urban lifestyle shopping mall is expected to open in the first quarter of 2018.

Artistic Controls has the opportunity to work closely with Jenson Engineering to supply and install the Public Address System to the EkoCheras project to the podium, Mall and the five towers ( Tower A, Tower E, Tower H, Tower J and Tower N). Jenson Engineering is the main ELV contractor who also provide other ELV services like the CCTV, SMATV, Card Access and Carpark Management System to the project.

Public Address System

For this project we selected Amperes as the main equipment to complete the Public Address System. It was proposed and approved by the ELV consultant to be install in all the building. Artistic Controls being the project dealers for Amperes working closely with the manufacturer and the project team to ensure that the system will work properly for it is a large coverage in the podium and we do not want any signal lost to the announcement and between Tower to Towers.

One of the important factor is to ensure the integration with the Fire Alarm in compliance with the Bomba regulation for fire evacuation requirement.

To cover the large area like the Mall public area, podium and parking area we supply almost 5000 nos of PA speakers consist of mixed ceiling speaker and box speaker and horn speaker. A total of 56 units of 480W power amplifier was needed to drive all these speakers.

The proposed system is to have each Tower to have their own stand along PA Rack and the paging system. There will be one main PA Rack that will take over the whole podium paging in the case of an emergency. The emergency paging can be done zone by zone to ensure safe evacuation of the people around there.

The Fire Alarm Interface will receive the fire signal form Fire Alarm and it will immediate trigger the voice recorder playback as voice evacuation message.

Overall, Artistic Controls satisfied with the design and implementation of the PA System and this is one of the largest Public System we have ever completed.
