Damansara Performance Arts Center DPAC Shines With ETC Source 4

Under the owner Mammoth Empire Holdings Sdn Bhd, the launched of the Damansara Performance Arts Center (DPAC) at Damansara Perdana is set to become one of the prominent production venues for performing arts. It houses a proscenium theatre (203 seats), a Black Box Theatre and dance studios.

Physically, DPAC has a proscenium theatre, a black box experimental theatre. All of them are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. These facilities suit professional practices of different performing arts practitioners in different forms.

DPAC makes a great setting for any production or event, with a range of distinctive, dynamic venues that are easily accessible, from the proscenium stage theatre to multifunctional space like the BLACK BOX, rehearsal space of the DPAC STUDIOs, to the interflow lobby MULTIFUNCTIONAL SPACE. DPAC can accommodate specific production requirements for performances, lend a special ambiance to exhibitions, workshops, meetings and functions, and can also serve as a creative space for arts organizations and individual artists.

We have the opportunity to work with the developer and the contractor to supply ETC range of source four spotlights and lighting control desk. These are the preferences for the operator to stage any shows and they are familiar with the ETC Element desk as well.

The ETC Source 4 and Element

The Proscenium Theater was installed with more than 60 nos of with other type of Luminaires like Fresnel and Cyclorama. ETC Source four fixtures is one of the lighting can adopted by production house because of it design. Source Four combines the energy-saving power of the patented HPL lamp, with a dichroic reflector and optical-quality lenses, for the coolest beam on the market. Rated at 750 watts but as bright as the 1200W conventional spotlights the performance space stays cooler.

The proscenium Theatre incorporates the ETC Element 40 – 500 as main lighting control desk. It can control up to 500 channels via one DMX output. The Element desk which is part of EOS Family is suitable for single console operator and small to mid size venue. Rigs with some LED fixtures and/or a small number of simple moving lights if added later on.

The Black Box Theatre also uses the Element 40 control desk which offer 250 control channels. Even though this is a basic desk but it is the most affordable and easy to use with the fundamentals of lighting control.
