Kolej Penerbangan Awan Sepang
Kolej Penerbangan Awan or Akademi Penerbangan Malaysia in Sepang is the aviation training center for Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCA) to train pilot and offer aviation courses for DCA. The new facilities were equipped with complete new Radar Simulator with Aerodrome Simulators.
In this project as we used to call, we work closely with the awarded main contractor SN Akmida Holdings Sdn Bhd to supply and install ELV packages for Public Address System, SMATV, Card Access, Auditorium Sound and Lighting and Meeting Room AV and Conference System.
Kolej Penerbangan Awan building consists of four main buildings consist of the Cafeteria and Library Block, Simulation Block, Academic block and Administration Block. The entire block PA system was link together so that the centralizing paging can be done at the Admin block.
Since there is some distance in the speaker cabling we have to used at least 2.5 mm sq cabling to link to all speaker with the last speaker link back to the amplifier in the equipment rack. This will act like a loop to ensure the quality of the paging is still clear toward the end. Amperes PA System was the choice of equipment here.
In Auditorium we installed full range speaker and subwoofer from EV Klub range. With the 15” speaker the sound is able to cover whole auditorium and even live speech can be heard easily. This was repeated for all the training room and seminar room using the same speakers. Stage Lighting is from aLDR Lighting and Stage Curtain is from JC Joels UK.
Creator Conference system was required in the meeting room so here we installed 18 units of delegate and one chairman unit. AD Spark-8 speakers were installed and the sound can cover to the back even with 8” speaker.
The card access system is the centralize system using Microengine XP-M1000 where the software management system can print reports for the entry and exit log for all door in the Admin block.
Overall the project was commissioning in 2009 and the Kolej Penerbangan Awan project has become one of the interesting installations in our profile
